On Ötzi’s trail: more than 5,000 years ago, the famous glacier man Ötzi was walking around in Val di Tisa. This is the spot we will visit to discover plants, animals and stones, which are still there today, to hike together (300 m of difference in altitude), to play, to do archery like Ötzi and to try many other things.
Observe nature and wildlife in the Tessa Group Nature Park: During this natural history hike, you will get to know the beauty and the particularities of the fascinating mountain scenery in the Tessa Group Nature Park.
Alpine hike: relaxed hike through the wonderful Val di Fosse at the heart of the Tessa Group Nature Park. We will walk past alpine meadows and learn many interesting things on this diverse cultural and natural landscape. We will look for the silvery stones in the stream of Val di Fosse and use the natural source of energy for Qui-Gong exercises on the alpine meadows between alpine roses and gentians. Prior to the hike, we will watch the cheese production at the Vorkaserhof farm. Upon return, all participants may try home-made cheese. The hike is also very suitable for kids.
Family hike to alpine farms: during this guided tour, starting at Monte Santa Caterina, you will get an insight in some parts of alpine farming life. We visit an ancient alpine farm and try traditional home-made meals.
Expedition Stone Age: a colourful outdoor day with many activities, games, stories and creative ideas about Ötzi and the Stone Age. The young adventurers find out the age of the oldest tree in the valley, paint on rocks and discover the forest. They build a Stone Age tepee, light a campfire and eat toasted bread and sausages. Have fun! Live the adventure and learn about Stone Age and nature at the same time! A must for young people between 7 and 12 years who are interested in the story of Ötzi. The programme is designed by cultural experts of the ArcheoParc Val Senales.
Nature theme day for kids: playing, tinkering, observing, exploring and experimenting outdoors...is the motto of this diverse theme day led by hiking coach Caterina. Experience all facets of nature and have an unforgettable day. The programme includes many interesting activities such as outdoor behaviour exercises, nature experience games, tinkering with natural materials, learning about wildlife, discovering edible natural resources and much more.
