Don’t worry: your kids are in good hands! Our supervisors pick up the little skiers from the ski school and drive them from the piste straight back to the Adlernest.

From the Adlernest you have access to one of the coolest and most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps – the Schnalstal Glacier.
The ski area rocks with 42 kilometers of slopes that extend over 2,000 to 3,200 meters in altitude.
From true ski cracks to little piste dwarves – everyone will find their own personal piste paradise here.
Our ski season runs from September to the beginning of May – perfect for endless days on the slopes and a panorama that will take your breath away.

Family Skiing
Snowkids tickets and magic carpet
In the Schnalstal Valley ski area in South Tyrol, getting into skiing is a piece of cake.
With the Snowkids tickets, you can carefully feel your way around.
Children born in 2021 or younger can ski all day long for just €5.00 when accompanied by a parent!
This also applies to several children per family and for multi-day tickets.
For little beginners, there are practice slopes on the Lazaun and Glocken lifts.
And the highlight: the cool children’s ski area including a teepee tent, two magic carpets and a ski carousel. The initial uncertainty disappears immediately.
Adlernest-Skiservice for Kids
Extra for all ski course kids: After your course, you and your parents can relax at the meeting point in the ski area.
It’s right at the ticket counter, where our supervisors are already waiting for you.
Then it’s time to go: Everyone off to the Adlernest!
A delicious, steaming lunch is already waiting for you there, followed by a varied afternoon including lots of fun and games.
Adlernest tip: Grab your place on the ski course early and preferably the weekly course in the morning.
That way you can spend the whole morning rocking the slopes and then jet back to the hotel for a relaxed lunch.

While you’re making your turns on the slopes, it’s not uncommon for real pros to whizz past you.
For decades, adventurers have been captivated by challenging descents such as the Leo Gurschler slalom training run or the legendary eight-kilometre-long valley descent over the Schmugglerscharte.
And then there’s the Teufelsegg piste – a real challenge that will make your muscles burn – but you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Ötztal peaks.

The Rent and Go and Skifactory Maso Corto ski hire shops are located directly in Kurzras and offer state-of-the-art ski equipment.
Their staff are on hand to help and advise you on all aspects of skiing and snowboarding, whether you are a beginner or a pro.

Whether you’re a ski rest stop, a view connoisseur or a party person – the doors of the rustic ski huts in Val Senales are open for you.
In the afternoon, simply swap your ski poles for a warming punch and make yourself comfortable on the sun terrace or in the cozy parlor.
The party animals among you head to the apres-ski huts directly on the slopes or at the mountain stations of the chairlifts.
For example, the Teufelsegg Hütte or the Ötzi Biwak at over 3,000 meters.

Located at the foot of the Teufelsegg piste, you can also reach this hut in the Schnalstal Valley as a non-skier with the Roter Kofel chairlift.

The hut is located directly on the Hintereispiste.

Skiing is not your thing?
Would you rather go tobogganing, winter hiking or cross-country skiing?
No problem – there are plenty of snow-covered forests and beautiful, sunny winter landscapes for winter hiking with the whole family.
Tobogganists with kids can check out the 2 km long Hölderle natural toboggan run in Val Martello.
After a short ascent, it’s a rapid descent.
But don’t worry – the technically easy run is suitable for young and old.
Things get a little faster in the Merano 2000 ski area.
The 3 km long toboggan run starts at the Merano 2000 mountain station and winds its way down through the snow-covered winter forest.
Oh, and for the cross-country skiers among you… The season lasts almost a whole year!
So if not in Val Senales, where else…?
Parking is free, there is a ski room and the ski bus runs directly opposite the hotel, so this location is excellent, especially for skiers. I will definitely try to go there again in the summer. 5/5, highly recommended.

Our room was brand new and beautifully furnished, so we had enough space even with grandma and teenagers. The location is perfect for skiing and the food was super tasty, with lots of options to change parts of the menu as desired.

Very good hotel with a great location. It's about 7 minutes by car to the ski lifts. The included half-board is like going to a fine restaurant in the evening with excellent cuisine and 5-7 course menus. Just like the breakfast. We have never experienced such a good price-performance ratio.

This hotel was perfect for our short ski vacation. The facilities exceeded our expectations with spa, swimming pool, gym, yoga and games room for all ages. The food was excellent (fine dining and plentiful) and the staff very friendly. The ski area was ideal for our family (2 children - 15 and 13) with a good mix of red, blue and black runs. The best thing was that the slopes were so quiet that we didn't have to queue at the lifts once we were on the mountain.

Ideal for hiking and skiing. Tobogganing with the whole family is also possible. You can also spend the whole day relaxing in the hotel. The town of Merano is not far away for a shopping tour. The Naturns adventure pool is also close by.
